Role Overview
As a Backend Engineer at Zobia Core Technologies, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that support our growing products and users.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful / GraphQL APIs
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture
Integrate third-party services and internal microservices
Implement security best practices, authentication, and data protection
Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in backend development (2+ years preferred)
Proficiency in one or more backend languages/frameworks such as Node.js, Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask), Java (Spring Boot), Go, or similar
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and system design
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.)
Knowledge of authentication methods (JWT, OAuth) and API security
Familiarity with Git, version control, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization
Understanding of message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
Exposure to testing frameworks and writing unit/integration tests
Interest in performance optimization and scalable architecture
